Originair guests are advised that the carriage of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices is prohibited on all flights.
This is due to concerns regarding potential fire risk from the device’s battery after a number of incidents worldwide. The ban applies to devices being carried onto the aircraft, in carry-on baggage, as well as checked in luggage (other Samsung devices are not affected).
Please do not bring the devices to the airport when you are travelling as they cannot be accepted for travel and there is on storage facility available for them at our check-in counters.
To help ensure an on time departure, you and your travelling party should aim to arrive at the departure terminal at least 40 mins before your nominated departure time. This is especially important if you have special needs or additional baggage.
Our check-in is open one hour before the scheduled departure time of the flight.

Originair’s baggage allowance is one piece up to 15kgs per person. As each flight is different, the total payload (combined weight of passengers and baggage) we can take may be limited. Our Flight Operations team will advise if there are any restrictions for your particular flight.
As a general rule, adhering to the following baggage guidelines will assist our staff in providing a smooth and efficient experience.
As per aviation regulations, we need to ensure the aisles and rows are kept clear and un-obstructed in case of emergencies, as well as ensuring loose articles such as carry-on bags are stowed securely. For our aircraft, all carry-on bags need to be able to be placed under the seats.
Generally items such as; small laptop bags, small back packs and handbags limited to approx. 7kg will fit under the seats.
Travelling with a larger carry-on item? Maybe no problem, just let your check-in agent know as you check-in for the flight. In some cases this may incur an extra fee.
Like all airlines, we request that you limit the weight of each piece of checked baggage to 15kg so they’re easier for our crews to handle. Heavier items and/or bulky equipment such as tool boxes, specialised equipment, and sporting items maybe accommodated in our aircraft by prior arrangement, just let our Flight Operations team know at the time of booking or arrive a bit earlier for your flight and advise your check-in staff to ensure these items are loaded as quickly and safely as possible. Please refer to your e-ticket for baggage allowance and additional baggage charges.
Children are entitled to the standard baggage allowance of one piece up to 15kgs per person plus one carry on bag up to 7kg.
Infants are entitled to one nursery bag up to 7kgs to be carried as hand luggage.
Car seats, booster seats (1 per infant/child) and Manual Wheelchairs are exempt items from the baggage allowance, and can be carried in addition to the free baggage allowance at no cost.
Civil Aviation Regulations place restrictions on some personal items that, when transported by air, can put people’s health, safety or property at risk – commonly referred to as Dangerous Goods.
Examples of items that are either prohibited or may be carried under certain restrictions are;
