Originair’s per person checked baggage allowance is 15kgs.
As each flight is different, the total payload (combined weight of passengers and baggage) we can take may be limited. Our Flight Operations team will advise if there are any restrictions for your particular flight.
As a general rule, adhering to the following baggage guidelines will assist our staff in providing a smooth and efficient experience.
In order to comply with aviation regulations, the aisles and rows must be kept clear and unobstructed in case of emergencies at all times by ensuring all loose items such as carry-on bags are stowed securely. Therefore, all carry-on bags much be able to fit under the seats.
Small items such as handbags, laptop bags and small back packs under the combined 7kg weight allowance will generally fit under the seat. All carry- bags will be weighed and tagged at check in.
If you are travelling with a larger carry-on item but it is still under the 7kg combined weight allowance this is no problem. We can stow this in the baggage hold as you board the aircraft, and you can collect it at the aircraft as you disembark. Alternatively, if you are not travelling with a checked in bag, you can check your carry-on bag in with no charge as all our fares include checked baggage. If your carry-on bag it is larger and/over the weight allowance it will need to be checked in and charges may apply if you have already got checked in baggage.
Please limit the weight of each piece of checked baggage to 15kg so it’s easier for our ground staff to handle. Heavier items and/or bulky equipment such as toolboxes, specialised equipment, and sporting items may be accommodated in our aircraft by prior arrangement. Please let our team know at the time of booking or arrive a bit earlier for your flight and advise check-in staff to ensure these items are loaded as quickly and safely as possible. Please refer to your e-ticket for baggage allowance and additional baggage charges.
Children (2 to 12 years) are entitled to the standard baggage allowance of checked baggage weighing up to 15kgs per person, plus one carry-on bag weighing up to 7kg.
Infants (7 days to 23 months) are entitled to one nursery bag weighing up to 7kgs to be carried as hand luggage.
Manual wheelchairs and walking frames are also exempt from the baggage allowance and can be transported free of charge. While we provide wheelchair assistance to and from the aircraft, passengers must be able to navigate the aircraft stairs independently.
Car seats and booster seats (one per infant/child) are exempt from the baggage allowance. They can be carried in addition to the free baggage allowance at no extra cost.
